He quit orthopedic specialty training to dedicate his waking hours to treating the wounded, the Syrian civilians who chant for freedom, and come back with bullet holes.

When the mad dogs of the Syrian secret police, Al-Mukhabarat, tightened the noose around him and his friends, he planned to escape to Turkey.

At the border, they shot him.

In Syria, the answer to freedom calls is bullets.

The reward for helping the fallen is more bullets, and more blood.

His farewell text to a friend, a day before his wedding to Martyrdom, reads:

“Please ask my patients, who I couldn’t get to help, to forgive me”.
